About The Position

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Inpatient Oncology team at Main Hospital. This role involves direct patient care and follow-up for a specific patient population, delivered in inpatient and hospital-outpatient settings. The position requires collaboration with an attending physician and encompasses clinical practice, consultation, professional development, education, and research. The role may require acute/critical care education and certification, depending on the practice area's scope. The APP will manage a cohort of high acuity patients, potentially utilizing invasive interventions and procedures for physiologic stability. Off-shift responsibilities, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, will be determined by clinical needs.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience practicing as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required
Master's Degree Nursing Required
Bachelor's Degree - Physician Assistant Required
Ability to work in an inter-professional team setting with multiple responsibilities.
Ability to use computer and electronic medical records effectively.

Responsibilities

Assesses the complex acute, critical and chronically ill patient for urgent and emergent conditions.
