About The Position

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients with advanced pulmonary disease in an inpatient setting. This role involves caring for patients with Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, and pre- and post-lung transplant. The practitioner will conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments of patients with acute and chronic conditions affecting the respiratory system, and participate in daily rounding and collaborate with attending or consulting teams to adjust plans of care.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program (if Nurse Practitioner).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program (if Physician Assistant).
  • State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (if Nurse Practitioner).
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (e.g., Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Adult) (if Nurse Practitioner).
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (if Physician Assistant).
  • Active PA board certification (if Physician Assistant).
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
