About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Extender supporting McDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity with benefits offered, including 11 paid Federal Holidays per year. The role involves providing a full range of outcome-based provider services, diagnosing and treating patients, promoting preventive care, and providing clinical guidance to junior staff.
Requirements
- Masters of Social Work degree
- Any active state license to practice as a LCSW
- A minimum of two years full-time experience in care coordination, discharge planning or case management in a medical setting within the last four years
- BLS, ACLS certification
Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems.
- Provide immunizations.
- Diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated.
- Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Provide and participate in in-service training to staff members.
- Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician.
- Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
