About The Position

Join our team on the University of St. Joseph campus (Connecticut College), providing essential care to students in a supportive environment. We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to deliver primary care and same day care, such as vaccines, sick visits, and physicals. Requirements

Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
Nurse Practitioner (Family, Adult/Geri Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant
1+ years’ experience in a primary care or relevant outpatient setting

Responsibilities

Perform routine physical examinations
Formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists
Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols
Identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physicians
