About The Position

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) Cancer Institute is seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their growing team. This role will provide value-based care to Oncology Patients primarily in outpatient settings at the William W. Backus Hospital Cancer Institute in the Willimantic location. The HHC Cancer Institute is a certified member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Alliance, focusing on state-of-the-art, evidence-based cancer care. Oncology APPs will be involved in triage and the spectrum of outpatient management of cancer patients, including urgent visits, chemotherapy pre-treatment visits, follow-up appointments, and ongoing survivorship care. This position offers opportunities for professional advancement and training through the HHC-MSK relationship. The role is based in an outpatient medical oncology practice with the potential to participate in acute care consultation services. Requirements

  • Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant (PA), or Nurse Practitioner
  • Oncology experience as a PA, NP, or RN is required

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is highly preferred
