About The Position

Geisinger ConvenientCare urgent care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team as a float in our Northeast Region. Our clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. Routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services are also provided.

Requirements

• Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)
• Minimum of six months advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.
• Ability to treat patients from age one and older.
• ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program completion, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure (for PA candidates).
• Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or eligibility to hold national certification (for NP candidates).
• Eligibility for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA (for NP candidates).

Nice To Haves

• Experience is required - Due to the autonomous nature of the position, advanced practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one and older and have a minimum of six months advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.
