Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Hospitalist - Day Shift - 7 on 7 off - Clay
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its inpatient hospitalist team at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, Florida. The role provides inpatient care, treatment, and education under the supervision of the overseeing physician and in accordance with Baptist Inpatient Medicine Nurse Practitioner Protocols. The position involves 16–20 patients per day and 40 patient-facing hours per week, with no call schedule. The team uses the Epic EHR system and provides on-site hospitalist care in partnership with outpatient and post-acute care physicians. The hospitalist team is part of the inpatient care team and provides care 24/7.
Requirements
- Master’s degree.
- At least one year of experience in Hospital Medicine or Critical Care/ICU.
- Certified and licensed APRN or PA.
- Current Florida APRN or Physician Assistant license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification, or ability to obtain them.
- Valid Florida driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient care, treatment, and education under the supervision of the overseeing physician.
- Follow Baptist Inpatient Medicine Nurse Practitioner Protocols.
- Collaborate with hospitalists and outpatient and post-acute care physicians to provide care across the spectrum.
