About The Position
Baptist Health, recognized as a top place to work in healthcare and the most preferred health provider in Northeast Florida for over 30 years, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its rapidly-growing inpatient team. This role involves providing inpatient care, treatment, and education under the supervision of an overseeing physician, adhering to the Baptist Inpatient Medicine Nurse Practitioner Protocols. The position is based in Jacksonville, Florida, a highly sought-after destination. The Baptist Hospitalist Team consists of internists and family physicians who exclusively practice within the hospital. They collaborate with outpatient and post-acute care physicians to ensure comprehensive care across the patient spectrum. The team provides on-site, 24/7 care and is an integral part of the inpatient team.
Requirements
- Master’s degree
- Minimum of one year of experience in Hospital Medicine or Critical Care/ICU
- Certified and licensed APRN/PA
- Current Florida APRN or Physician Assistant license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification, or ability to obtain
- Valid Florida driver's license
Responsibilities
- Provides inpatient care, treatment, and education under the supervision of the overseeing physician.
- Manages 16-20 patients per day.
- Works 40 patient-facing hours per week.
