Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Hospitalist - Downtown - 7 of 7 off
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its inpatient Hospitalist team in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. The role provides inpatient care, treatment, and education under the supervision of the overseeing physician and in accordance with Baptist Inpatient Medicine Nurse Practitioner Protocols. The position typically cares for 16–20 patients per day and includes 40 patient-facing hours per week. There is no call schedule. The team uses the Epic EHR system and works in partnership with outpatient and post-acute care physicians. Baptist Hospitalists provide on-site care 24/7 as part of the inpatient team.
Requirements
- Master’s degree.
- At least one year of experience in Hospital Medicine or Critical Care/ICU.
- Certified and licensed APRN or PA.
- Current Florida APRN or Physician Assistant license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or ability to obtain them.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient care, treatment, and education under the supervising physician and according to Baptist Inpatient Medicine Nurse Practitioner Protocols.
- Care for approximately 16–20 patients per day.
- Work in partnership with outpatient and post-acute care physicians as part of the inpatient team.
