About The Position
Sansum Santa Barbara Medical Clinic is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join its OBGYN department in Santa Barbara, California. The position is based in a busy outpatient clinic, with an average of 20 patients per day. Its primary focus is well-woman exams, contraceptive counseling and management, IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals, and women's health triage and follow-up care. Participation in postpartum rounding is optional, and there are no call responsibilities. Sansum Clinic, partnered with Sutter Health, is a multi-specialty healthcare provider established in 1921. The clinic has more than 250 physicians and healthcare professionals and provides care across a wide range of specialties. It is part of the Sutter Health network.
Requirements
- Nurse practitioner or physician assistant with directly related OBGYN experience.
- Board certified.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- California licensure.
- California furnishing license.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide well-woman exams.
- Provide contraceptive counseling and management.
- Perform IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals.
- Provide women's health triage and follow-up care.
- Optionally participate in postpartum rounding.
