Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant III - Transplant Surgery
About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant performs a variety of tasks in authorized settings including clinics, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, nursing homes, or the patient's home. These tasks involve obtaining patient history, performing physical examinations, ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, formulating diagnostic impressions, developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring the effectiveness of interventions, offering counseling and education, making referrals, and prescribing and dispensing medication in accordance with state laws and department policies. The role also includes assisting in surgery, performing minor and surgical procedures, assessing and interpreting patient data relative to age-specific needs, and contributing to departmental process improvement, policy development, and committee assignments.

- Assist with ongoing departmental process improvement and policy development
- Other departmental or institutional committee assignments as needed
