About The Position

Join a highly collaborative, APP-led orthopaedic team where you’ll enjoy meaningful autonomy, strong physician partnership, and the opportunity to practice across the full spectrum of orthopaedic inpatient care. Work alongside 4 experienced APPs supporting 9 orthopaedic surgeons first-assisting in the OR, pre- and post-operative care, ED and inpatient consults. Requirements

Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
2+ years’ experience in Orthopaedic Surgery

Responsibilities

First-assisting in the OR
Pre- and post-operative care
ED and inpatient consults
Perform routine physical examinations
Formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs
Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice
Identify problems outside of their scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician
