Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant III - Plastic Surgery
About The Position
The Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner performs tasks in authorized settings such as clinics, hospitals, and/or ambulatory surgery centers. Tasks may include obtaining patient history, performing physical examinations, ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, formulating a diagnostic impression, developing and implementing a treatment plan, monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, offering counseling and education to meet patient needs, making appropriate referrals, prescribing and dispensing prescription medication, assisting in surgery, and performing minor and surgical procedures. The role requires the ability to assess data reflective of patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to age-specific needs. This position is not a cosmetic plastic surgery role.
Requirements
- Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program (for Nurse Practitioner)
- Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, or ACNP (for Nurse Practitioner)
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program (for Physician Assistant)
- Current PA certification by NCCPA (for Physician Assistant)
- Registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice (for Physician Assistant)
- Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date
- DEA registration required
- Not eligible for sponsorship and will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position.
