Key Position Details: Hybrid - Rounding and OR work 1.0 position / 40 hours per week 10-hour days Inpatient and outpatient position Includes weekend rotation, approximately 1 weekend per month OR call expectations EMR: Excellian is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation
Requirements
- Master's degree completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program required.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire.
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
- Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
- BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience post Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant training preferred.
- Cardiology experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
