About The Position

Provides advanced clinical care under the supervision of a physician, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patient conditions. Collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while exercising independent clinical judgment within the scope of licensure. Primary Responsibilities Provide follow up care for patients with general endocrine disorders Provides advanced patient care, including comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Conducts initial, ongoing, and follow-up patient evaluations and documents findings accurately. Develops and implements individualized plans of care in collaboration with physicians and the care team. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests and procedures. Prescribes medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocols. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice. Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care. Monitors patient progress and modifies treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Provides patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care. Ensures accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record. Maintains compliance with Clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and applicable state and federal laws. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and supports clinical best practices. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practioner (NP) in the State of Texas required
  • Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (“ANCC”) or is otherwise qualified under federal, state, or other healthcare regulations, and applicable accrediting bodies to provide Endocrinology Services
  • In good standing under the laws of the State of Texas to engage in the unrestricted practice of medicine.
  • Is eligible and approved for professional liability coverage.
  • Has an unrestricted right to participate in federal health care programs, including Medicare.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to practice independently within scope while collaborating effectively with physicians.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple patients and priorities in a clinical setting.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and quality outcomes.
  • Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with leadership, physicians, and peers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record platforms (Epic).
