Nurse Practitioner – Internal Medicine - Ambulatory Care Network
About The Position
As an essential part of the Ambulatory Care Network (ACN), the Nurse Practitioner provides coverage in primary care practices to increase patient access to care and reduce wait times. The role provides high-quality care to a diverse group of patients, regardless of socioeconomic status. The position works within a team whose leadership is involved in care at every stage, from developing best practices to coordinating multidisciplinary services. This is a full-time, on-site, day-shift position at the Columbia Campus in New York, New York. The stated schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Employees must live within commuting distance of NewYork-Presbyterian; travel expenses are not reimbursed.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing in Advanced Practice.
- Current New York State RN and FNP licensure.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Board certification as an FNP.
- At least two years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and triage skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Prior anticoagulation management experience.
- Outpatient or primary care experience.
- Prior pap smear service experience.
- Form completion experience.
