Full-time Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology | UT Health East Texas | Tyler, TX
About The Position
UT Health East Physicians, CVC Clinic is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner (or physician assistant) to join our cardiology team at UT Health Three Lakes. This outpatient role involves evaluating new and established patients with cardiac conditions, performing comprehensive history and physical exams, diagnosing and managing common cardiovascular diseases, and ordering, interpreting, and discussing diagnostic tests. The Nurse Practitioner will also coordinate care with various specialists, provide risk factor modification, and offer preventive cardiology counseling. The position is located at our Three Lakes Clinic and sees 16-25 patients per day. The schedule is Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 5 PM, and Friday 8 AM - 12 PM.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of cardiology experience required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new and established patients with cardiac conditions.
- Perform comprehensive history and physical exams.
- Diagnose and manage common cardiovascular diseases.
- Order, interpret, and discuss diagnostic tests.
- Coordinate care with cardiologists, primary care providers, electrophysiologists, interventional cardiologists, and cardiac surgeons.
- Provide risk factor modification and preventive cardiology counseling.
