OHSU Family Medicine is part of OHSU School of Medicine and focuses on family health, providing preventive, primary, and specialty care for all ages. Our clinics serve over 120,000 patients annually, with a strong emphasis on knowing patients and their families by name. The Clinical Associate APP role delivers care within the defined scope of practice in Family Medicine, adhering to departmental workflows, productivity standards, and performance expectations. This position requires 1792 hours of work per year, including daytime coverage (AM, PM, and Evening sessions) Monday through Sunday, aligned with the clinical coverage model and patient care needs. The Clinical Associate APP will participate in departmental scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and call responsibilities, ensuring equitable distribution of coverage and maintenance of safe clinical operations as per the collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The Float Program's mission is to cover provider shortages at Family Medicine practices due to departures or leaves, with coverage potentially lasting one or more months. Coverage models vary based on clinical need, including PCP panel coverage, acute patient needs, or a combination. Schedule and location assignments will be based on need and in accordance with the CBA. OHSU Family Medicine supports a comprehensive scope of practice, including care for all ages from newborn to end-of-life, and support for patients with substance use disorder (including medication-assisted treatment) and gender-affirming care.
