About The Position

Join Hartford HealthCare's Heart & Vascular Institute as an Electrophysiology (EP) Advanced Practice Clinician in a hybrid role. This position offers a unique opportunity to care for patients across the full continuum of electrophysiology services, including outpatient office, inpatient consult service, and the EP procedural area. You will work alongside electrophysiologists, cardiologists, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members to manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias, improve patient access, continuity of care, and procedural outcomes. Hartford HealthCare is a large, non-profit, integrated healthcare system in Connecticut, utilizing EPIC for improved patient outcomes and provider satisfaction.

Requirements

• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
• Current national board certification appropriate to specialty
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification required

Nice To Haves

• Experience in cardiology and/or electrophysiology preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a physician-led multidisciplinary team
• New graduates with a strong cardiology interest are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, SVT, ventricular arrhythmias, bradyarrhythmias, and syncope
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for EP studies, ablations, cardioversions, pacemaker implants, and ICD procedures
• Perform inpatient electrophysiology consults and participate in daily hospital rounding with the EP team
• Manage antiarrhythmic medications, anticoagulation therapies, and EP-related treatment plans
• Review ECGs, telemetry, ambulatory monitoring, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Coordinate care across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and procedural settings
• Collaborate closely with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, device specialists, nursing staff, and hospital teams
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and patient education
