Candidates will provide pre and post op education to patients related to total joint surgeries at Surgery Center of the Northland. The role will manage the surgical patient preparation for surgery and post op education. Individuals will assist in the screening and assessments of patients based on Preop history and physical and lab work. Individuals will coordinate care with physicians, ensure communication and preparation is streamlined. As needed will provide patient specific education on diagnostic testing, diagnosis, and treatment plan and escalate concerns to Anesthesiologists/and or surgeon. Collects information and data on total joint patients for reporting purposes. Maintains excellent communication and follow up with the patient. Establishing and maintaining relationships with providers. Oversee and aid with discharge planning, coordinates patient’s discharge needs with additional services as necessary. This position has guaranteed full-time hours.
