About The Position

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for providing clinical direction and leadership for effective management of nursing practices. This role ensures patient care is consistently delivered and all quality standards are met. The Nurse Manager will coordinate, supervise, and manage clinical services, staff education, planning, development, and evaluation. They will collaborate with physicians and other hospital managers and directors in developing and/or revising policies, procedures, and guidelines. Additionally, the role involves ensuring staff competency, education, and training, managing budgets, serving as a resource person for staff, developing goals and objectives, and assisting in the advancement of nursing practice.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Louisiana.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft program knowledge.
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Possess personal qualities such as kindness, empathy, understanding, respect, good judgment, integrity, loyalty, a sense of humor, and an ability to relate to people in a compassionate manner.
  • BLS, ACLS certification within 3 months of start date.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN, Masters preferred.
  • Two years of nursing management experience preferred.
