About The Position

Peachford Hospital is hiring a full-time, day-shift Nurse Manager (Registered Nurse) for its inpatient behavioral health program. The Nurse Manager is accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer and is responsible for the department’s overall efficient operation, including creating, maintaining, and managing a therapeutic milieu that supports the safety of patients and staff. The role collaborates with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish patient treatment goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Four years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Ability to interact appropriately with all populations served.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated competence in interdisciplinary formulation of individual treatment plans, skilled nursing care, and directing, monitoring, and evaluating nursing care.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Experience in a behavioral health, substance abuse, or psychiatric setting.
• Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing certifications.
• Positions of progressive responsibility, including supervisory and/or administrative nursing roles.
• Knowledge and mastery of DSM-5 and biopsychosocial assessment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise RNs, LPNs, MHTs, and ancillary staff by making assignments and monitoring patient care.
• Provide quality nursing care to meet identified patient outcomes.
• Carry out assigned functions according to the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital and program unit.
• Contribute as an active part of the treatment team.
• Provide redirection and consistency.
• Create, maintain, and manage a therapeutic milieu to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collaborate with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish patient treatment goals.
