About The Position

Seeking Nurse Manager! Baptist Health Floyd, 3AC Medical Inpatient Innovation Unit. This is a full-time (40 Hours Weekly), Days, Benefit Eligible position. The Nurse Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising the staff in their department, programs, budgets, schedules, payroll and equipment. They are to provide leadership through communication and relationship-building, a strong knowledge of the health care environment and business skills. The Nurse Manager functions as an extension of the Director of their department by implementing policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital within the unit managed. The Innovation Unit, also known as 3AC, is a 44-bed medical-surgical unit that pilots new ideas for the hospital. Nurses will care for a wide range of medical diagnosis and conditions. The Innovation Unit serves as a wonderful opportunity for new graduate LPN and RNs to start nursing careers and is complimented by seasoned nurses who share their expertise.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited BSN or MSN program.
Three (3) years nursing experience required.
One (1) year charge nurse or supervisory experience required.
BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred; If no current Master's degree and not pursuing, must obtain national certification in leadership within 2 years.
National specialty certification and/or National certification in Nursing Leadership preferred.
