About The Position

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Nurse Manager, Cardiac Cath Lab to support the continued growth of its expanding cardiovascular service line within a Magnet-designated community hospital. This role is for an experienced Cath Lab RN ready to transition into leadership or advance their nursing leadership career. The Nurse Manager will lead a skilled and collaborative team, shaping the future of a growing, complex procedural environment. The Nurse Manager directs, plans, and coordinates the clinical and operational activities of professional nursing and support staff within the Cardiac Cath Lab, ensuring high-quality patient care, supporting staff development and engagement, and fostering a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment. Direct patient care may be provided as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • 2–3 years of nursing experience required
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations
  • Knowledge of age-specific patient care needs across assigned populations

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred
  • 1–2 years of nursing leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall clinical and operational leadership for the Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Coordinate departmental activities with other hospital departments
  • Develop and implement staffing plans to support patient care needs
  • Support the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care
  • Oversee staff onboarding, training, education, and professional development
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support staff engagement, retention, and professional growth
  • Promote a positive environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Support initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and operational efficiency
  • Encourage best practices and clinical excellence across the department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
