About The Position

Saint Luke's North is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead Surgical Services, Pain Management, and Sterile Processing. This is a full-time day position requiring flexibility. The role involves modeling leadership competencies and core values, being accountable for the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, and collaborating with nursing leadership to identify areas for improvement. The Nurse Manager will support optimal care through specialized knowledge, critical thinking, and the nursing process, while also driving employee engagement and retention. Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team is key to exceeding customer expectations in a patient-centered and healing environment. The Nurse Manager may occasionally be counted in staffing to maintain clinical competencies.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • 2 years of applicable experience required
  • Strong clinical leadership skills required
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing

  • Prior management experience preferred

  • Accountable for the development, implementation, and evaluation of care provided on patient care units.
  • Ensure care is consistent with the established strategic plan, goals, and objectives for Patient Centered Care.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify areas of improvement regarding practice policies and processes.
  • Support optimal care requiring specialized knowledge, critical thinking, and skills based on psychological, social, physical, and biological sciences utilizing the nursing processes.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to exceed customer expectations in a patient-centered and healing environment.
  • Maintain all clinical competencies if required due to size and structure of the unit and may occasionally be counted in staffing.
