About The Position
Lead Surgical Services! Saint Luke's North is now seeking a Nurse Manager over surgery, pain, and sterile processing! This role models the SLHS Leadership Competencies and core values including professionalism, innovation, adaptability, independent judgment, and solid decision-making skills. The Nurse Manager is accountable for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the care provided on the patient care units consistent with the established strategic plan, goals, and objectives for Patient Centered Care. They work in collaboration with nursing leadership to identify areas of improvement regarding practice, policies, and processes. This role supports optimal care that requires specialized knowledge, critical thinking, and skills based on principles of psychological, social, physical, and biological sciences that utilize the nursing processes. The Nurse Manager drives employee engagement and retention and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to exceed customer expectations in a patient-centered and healing environment. They maintain all clinical competencies if required due to the size and structure of the unit and may occasionally be counted in staffing.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- 2 years' experience required
- Strong clinical leadership skills required
- Strong communication skills required
- Strong organizational skills required
- Associate Degree in Nursing
