Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)
About The Position
We are seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians (SPT) for the 1st shift (2p-10:30p, Monday through Friday, with occasional scheduled Holidays). The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of the department, including decontamination of various items (Drills, Davinci, scopes), sterilization processes (sterrad and steam), HLD/Scope experience, sterile storage, OR Liaison duties, and experience with the Censitrac Tracking system. Responsibilities also include moving case carts, separating dirty instruments, filling case cart needs for the next day's cases, and taking OR calls for both surgery floors.
Requirements
- Experienced with all areas of the department
- Experience with decontamination of all items (Drills, Davinci, scopes)
- Experience with sterilization process (sterrad and steam)
- HLD/ Scope experience
- Sterile Storage experience
- OR Liaison experience
- Censitrac Tracking system experience
- Ability to move case carts, separate dirties, and fill case cart needs for cases for the next day
- Ability to take OR calls for both floors of surgery
- Must have either CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) certification
