About The Position

The Nurse Manager assists in the daily function of the Ophthalmology Surgery Center in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training new employees; planning, assigning, and directing clinical staff; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems both internal and external; ensuring timely maintenance of equipment, in pre/post op. Assuring an adequate supply of inventory, and complete and accurate medical records.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
  • Current Illinois RN License, BCLS, and ACLS required.
  • Three (3) years’ experience as a PACU nurse.
  • Leadership and PACU experience within the last five years.
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
  • Knowledge of Payroll systems and Microsoft Word/ Excel.
  • Knowledge of patient monitoring and emergency equipment.
  • Experience working as an RN in an Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC).
  • Follows policies and procedures.
  • Complies with reporting adverse incidents.

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
