LPN OR RN PART TIME
About The Position
South Florida Youth Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk male youth aged 14 to 18 who require behavioral/mental health, substance abuse, and major disorder services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while at the program. The Licensed Nurse (LPN or RN) - Part Time works as a key member of the medical team and provides for the general health care of the students within the scope of your license. This may include administering immunizations, assisting with TB screening, flu vaccines, and overall health maintenance of students and staff. As a Part-Time LPN, you will also assist with training employees regarding relevant health care topics such as prevention of sports injuries, bloodborne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders. This position assists in ordering supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment for the medical team.
Requirements
- Possess a current Licensed Practical Nursing Credential from Florida.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and TB testing.
- Be able to pass a search of the Child Abuse Central Registry.
