About The Position

Named by The Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last four years, our community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a Part-time Weekend Nurse Liaison to join its expanding weekend nurse team. This is an on-site position located at Newton Wellesley Hospital. The position of Part-time Weekend Nurse Liaison is to provide information about hospice services to patients, families, and hospital-based staff, to conduct clinical assessments, coordinate hospital discharge plans, and maintain professional relationships within hospitals, with a focus on the assigned hospital.

Requirements

  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of MA as a Registered Nurse
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff, Good Shepherd colleagues, patients, and their families
  • Highly skilled at providing patient assessments and evaluations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Competency with accepted standards of hospice nursing practice

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years experience preferred in community health, oncology, hospice, or palliative care
