Nurse FlexChoice (RN) - Medical/Surgical System Staffing Float
About The Position
This position is part of the System Staffing Office. Our Hospital Float nurses are experienced inpatient nurses with Medical and/or Surgical experience and who have agreed to go to at least two hospital facilities within the Dartmouth-Health System. The FlexChoice per diem program recruits and on-boards experienced, professional, per diem RNs, LPNs, MAs, and LNAs, and allows them the flexibility to design their own schedule and choose from a variety of diverse and exciting practice locations across the D-H system. These locations include DHMC in Lebanon, our affiliate hospitals - Cheshire Medical Center, New London Hospital, Mount Ascutney Hospital and Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, and their ambulatory areas, as well as D-H ambulatory locations in Vermont and New Hampshire (CGPs).
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Minimum 2 years experience required
- Licensed Registered Nurse with NH and VT
- ACLS Certificate required upon hire

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
- Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or to elevate to the care team as necessary.
