About The Position
The Nurse Extern, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides direct patient care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. Care includes utilizing treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to a pre-licensure nurse in the clinical setting, in accordance with hospital policy.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in and progressing through an accredited nursing program.
- Successfully completed the first Med/Surg rotation.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
- No prior work experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program.
- Certification in phlebotomy.
- Certification in ECG.
