About The Position

The Nurse Extern, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides direct patient care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. Care includes using treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate for a pre-licensure nurse in the clinical setting and in accordance with hospital policy.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in and progressing through an accredited nursing program.
• Successfully completed the first Med/Surg rotation.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required upon hire.
• No work experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program.
• Phlebotomy certification.
• ECG certification.
