About The Position
The Nurse Extern, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides direct patient care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. Care includes using treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate for a pre-licensure nurse in the clinical setting, in accordance with hospital policy.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in and progressing through an accredited nursing program.
- Successfully completed the first Med/Surg rotation.
- No work experience required.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Certification from a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in phlebotomy.
- Certification in ECG.
