About The Position

Under the supervision of the Department Director, implements the education program goals and objectives for BMH personnel as appropriate. The process includes orientation, on-the-job training, in-service and continuing education and performance improvement projects as appropriate. Maintains data to measure participation and trends. Participates on hospital committees. Assist with development, implementation and evaluation of education programs within the department. Establishes professional rapport and works to meet needs with all Department Heads and staff.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a South Carolina Nursing License required.
• Bachelors (BSN) required.
• Must be currently enrolled in Master’s program, must complete Master's Degree within 18 months of hire.
• 2-5 years clinical experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work with all hospital staff, physicians, administration, patients and families.
• Possesses good oral and written interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Masters preferred.
• Previous teaching experience preferred or proven ability to prepare, organize, and present course content and classroom instruction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred, especially Power Point and Word.
• Holds current South Carolina License preferred.
