About The Position

The Nurse Educator is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education programs that promote evidence based practice, clinical competency, regulatory compliance, and high quality patient care across Gonzaba Medical Group's Managed Care and Primary Care operations. This role partners closely with physicians, nursing leadership, quality, case management, utilization management, referral operations, and clinic leadership to ensure staff are prepared to deliver exceptional patient care while supporting organizational goals related to quality outcomes, patient experience, value based care, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Current RN License In The State Of Texas, With A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Nursing Experience.
  • Bachelor ’s Degree In Nursing
  • Experience in chronic disease management, health behavior change required.
  • Knowledge of Word processing software, spreadsheet software, Internet, and database software.
  • Skills in using computer/copier.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to candidates with a Master ’s Degree in Nursing or Education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement training programs for healthcare staff to ensure they are up to date on best practices and procedures
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on processes, equipment, and policies for new hires and continuing education.
  • Collaborate with clinic & nursing leadership to identify areas of improvement and develop targeted training plans.
  • Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online resources, including an annual training plan.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain records of training completed for compliance.
  • Communicate with staff and management to gather feedback and address any concerns or questions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to training.
  • Serve as a resource and point of contact for nursing staff regarding training and education.
  • Display a positive and professional attitude while upholding the values and mission of the organization.
  • Attends required meetings and contributed to program planning and evaluation.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as required.
