About The Position

Naamans Creek Country Manor is hiring a non-emergency transport Nurse Driver to provide safe, timely, and compassionate transportation for patients. The role combines professional driving with basic nursing support to help ensure patients' safety and comfort during transit. The driver may transport patients to and from appointments, hospitals, healthcare facilities, homes, and other destinations, while monitoring patient needs and responding appropriately to situations that arise en route. Naamans Creek is a 90-bed skilled nursing facility focused on short-stay residents.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to operate vehicles safely in various conditions.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent nursing credential.
• Basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Ability to lift and safely assist patients with mobility challenges.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in non-emergency medical transportation or patient transport services.
• Familiarity with medical equipment used during patient transport.
• Knowledge of local healthcare facilities and routes to optimize travel time.
• Training in emergency response and patient handling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vehicle to transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
• Provide basic nursing care and assistance during transportation, including monitoring vital signs and administering first aid if necessary.
• Keep vehicles clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
• Communicate with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate schedules and address patient needs.
• Maintain accurate records of patient transport, care provided, and incidents or observations during transit.
