About The Position

This position is located at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia. The Nurse (Clinical/Emergency Department) will work hour shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, potentially from 0700-1900 or 1100-2300. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. The salary range is $93,782 to $121,919 per year. Ft. Eisenhower is adjacent to Augusta, GA, famous for The Masters Golf Tournament. It offers a moderate year-round climate and proximity to metropolitan areas, Atlantic Ocean beaches, and the Appalachian Mountains.

Requirements

• US Citizen
• Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
• Active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• All Health Care Providers must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA). Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.

Responsibilities

• Interview and take medical histories to acquire medically necessary information to assess the physical and mental status of patients.
• Perform triage, considering both physical and psychosocial elements.
• Observe, monitor, and assess patient's condition.
• Teach, onboard, and mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.
• Function as a charge nurse on a rotational basis.
• Conduct and participate in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of facility, departmental, or unit-based programs.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care.
