Nurse C - Enterostomal Therapist
About The Position
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a Part-time regular Nurse C - Enterostomal Therapist for the Ostomy & Wound Resource Team at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. This role involves providing in-patient and outpatient education and care for Enterostomal Therapy Patients, including liaison with families, physicians, staff nurses, and community agencies. The position also focuses on promoting continuing staff nurse involvement in patient education through communication, resource material development, and inservice education. Additionally, the role includes participation in program administration, research, and evaluation projects.
Requirements
- Enterostomal Therapy certificate
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Education Program (ETNEP)
- Basic Computer skills
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

- Experience developing/implementing/evaluating programs/resources
Responsibilities
- Provide in-patient education and care for Enterostomal Therapy Patients.
- Liaise with families, physicians, staff nurses, and community agencies.
- Provide individual outpatient treatment and education for patients and families.
- Promote continuing staff nurse involvement in patient education through effective communication, development of resource materials, and provision of inservice education.
- Participate in program administration (program development, planning, quality improvement and evaluation).
- Participate in research and evaluation projects.
