About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, the Unit Coordinator is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority in this front line leadership role. The Unit Coordinator facilitates the overall daily functioning of the unit ensuring a high quality of patient care services.

Requirements

  • Charge nurse experience
  • Triage experience
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in ER and/or UCC, within the last 5 years
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Ability to be resourceful
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work as a team member, can establish & maintain interpersonal relationships
  • Demonstrates ability to show initiative and self-direction
  • Leadership Skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change
  • Demonstrated expertise in the practice area
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development

  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
