About The Position
The Public Health Nurse delivers a full range of community-based Public Health Services including pre and post-natal care, immunization, health counseling. You will also prepare and present information on various health issues/topics to individuals, families and groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Immunization Competencies Course
- Basic - Interpersonal skills
- Basic - Presentation skills
- Basic - Communication skills
- Basic - Organizational skills
- Knowledge in diverse cultures, values and traditions
- Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting
- Knowledge in program and community development process
- Knowledge of population health approach to health promotion/prevention
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP)
Responsibilities
