About The Position

Public health nursing provides services that include postnatal care; childhood, school, and adult immunizations; client and staff education/orientation; influenza programming; communicable disease follow-up; and travel health services. This position will include a work assignment of a subset of these services. This is a regional position currently based out of Lloydminster. Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
  • One (1) year of public health experience required
  • Valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search (required at the time of interview)

Nice To Haves

  • Lactation certification may be required
  • In the absence of a qualified candidate, the employer would be willing to consider a candidate with equivalent experience relevant to the work which might include but not be limited to home care, labor and delivery, postpartum, pediatrics, community health or primary health.
