About The Position
Live Oak, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation residence in Shreveport, is seeking a certified nursing assistant to provide quality, compassionate care to geriatric residents. The role involves working side by side with Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses. Patient assignments are based on residents’ physical and cognitive abilities. Orientation is provided according to the candidate’s experience and comfort level. All shifts are 12 hours, though shift hours vary.
Requirements
- Certified nursing assistant.
- Gentle, kindhearted, dependable, and competent.
- An excellent work history is required for new graduates being considered.

Responsibilities
- Bathe residents.
- Feed residents.
- Assist residents with dressing.
- Change linens.
- Provide incontinence care.
- Organize residents’ rooms.
- Assist residents with mobility.
- Provide emotional support to residents.
- Work alongside Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses.
