Nurse Assistant
About The Position
As a Nurse Assistant at Henry Ford Health, you will help ensure patients’ safety, comfort, and well-being. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will perform specific patient care duties, provide input to patient care plans, and respond to emergent situations according to established procedures. You will also participate in continuing education and uphold Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions. The position is part of a team serving Macomb County communities in a high-acuity care environment. Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (such as Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician), or current enrollment in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing, or foreign training and licensure as an RN without a Michigan RN license, or completion of a Medical Assistant program with or without experience, or at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
- Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification preferred.
