About The Position

The Nurse Assistant provides essential patient care to support patients’ safety, comfort, and well-being. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the role includes assisting with care planning and implementation and responding to emergent situations. The position is at Henry Ford Novi Hospital and is scheduled for 36 hours per week on a variable shift. The department is part of Henry Ford Health and serves communities across Oakland County in a collaborative, community-focused care environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Complete a Nurse Assistant program (such as Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician), or be currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing, or be a foreign-trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license, or have completed a Medical Assistant program with or without experience, or have at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification preferred.
