The Nurse Apprentice works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the clinical setting and participates appropriately in the patient care delivery process. The Nurse Apprentice is expected to work at least 12 hours per week during their last semester, as allowed under the State of Utah guidelines for a Nurse Apprentice. The Children’s Health Resource Pool allows you to experience both acute and critical care, providing support to all inpatient units at Primary Children’s Hospital. Additional optional opportunities for skill development include chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, Emergency Department, and more. The Children’s Health Resource Pool is highly skilled and an important part of every team.
