About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants for part-time, non-tenure stream faculty in the Department of Nurse Anesthesia. Requirements

  • An earned doctorate (DNP or PhD) in nursing or a field related to the area of scholarship within the School of Nursing is required.
  • Eligibility for RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
  • Assistant Professor: Evidence of or potential for a sustained and impactful program of scholarship.
  • Assistant Professor: Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity.
  • Associate Professor: Evidence of a sustained and impactful program of scholarship that is nationally recognized.
  • Associate Professor: Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity.
  • Associate Professor: Evidence of or potential for leadership in the field.
  • Professor: Evidence of a sustained and impactful program of scholarship that is internationally recognized.
  • Professor: Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity.
  • Professor: Evidence of leadership in the field.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 2 years as a full-time practicing CRNA and teaching Anesthesia students.
  • Experiences should include developing curricular materials and teaching nurse anesthesia students in both clinical and classroom settings.
