About The Position
The Nurse Aide works under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. This is a Med Surg position at Canton Potsdam Hospital, scheduled for 37.5 hours per week on the night shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with rotating weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required for those hired after 10/08/2024.
- Current BLS certification is required for those hired after 10/08/2024.
Nice To Haves
- Evidence of successful completion of a nurse aide training course at hire.
- Previous experience as a nurse aide.
Responsibilities
- Performs and documents direct, comprehensive, family- and patient-centered care under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff (50%).
- Provides world-class customer service to patients and families (25%).
- Reports patient conditions directly to licensed nursing staff to achieve positive patient outcomes (15%).
- Maintains a safe, clean, patient- and family-centered environment (10%).
