About The Position

Requirements
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
- Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Check and record vital signs, height, and weight
- Assist inmates with hygiene needs, bathing, dressing, and complete bed care
- Provide position changes, ambulation help, transfer support, and monitor skin condition
- Assist inmates with wheelchairs to medication lines, appointments, and diagnostic tests
- Record, retrieve, and file information in the electronic health record
- Maintain orderly work areas, sterilize equipment, and manage supply inventory
