Requirements

• Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
• This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Check and record vital signs, height, weight, and specimen information while documenting patterns and outputs
• Assist inmates with hygiene routines, bathing, dressing, feeding, positioning, and mobility support
• Help maintain safe conditions through infection control practices, proper use of restraints, and safe transfer techniques
• Record, retrieve, and file information in the electronic health record and prepare required reports
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and report hazards promptly to supervisors
• Sterilize equipment, manage inventory, and replenish necessary supplies for daily operations
